Rexel state that cutter blades will be progressively worn down by shredding sheets fastened with staples and paper clips. This excessive wear is not covered by the warranty and whenever possible staples and paperclips should be removed before shredding. Rexel's departmental and small office shredders are designed to shred up to 500 and 300 CDs respectively during their warranty period. Shredding high volumes of CDs will cause excessive cutter wear and is not covered within the warranty.
